ISSUE project partners working on innovative solutions for sustainability in education meet at the Lappeenranta University of Technology to discuss the first tools of the sustainability toolkit that will be available soon.
The transnational ISSUE project partnership comprised of several CEEMAN members and CEEMAN itself, works on developing various education tools based on principles and goals of sustainable development and adapting them for higher educational institutions. To reach this goal, ISSUE partners are developing innovative content and tools with modern pedagogical approaches, adapted to the different target groups of a university, on various fields of sustainable development.
The third project meeting where first pieces of the final sustainability toolkit were discussed and reviewed took place at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in Finland, boasting as one of the greenest campuses in the world.
Among the most interesting project results will surely be the HEI adapted Integrated Reporting Manual, and extensive Methodology Handbook with best practice examples and teaching case studies, e-learning module on SDGs, open program sustainability summer school, green office concept and tools for HEIs, and a SDG themed escape room.
All the sustainability tools that will be developed as part of the ISSUE project will be openly available for use, with first tools already to be published at the start of 2020.
